چکیده
The Phlomis bracteosa oil constituents of methyl ester derivatives of fatty acids were analyzed using Gas Chromatography coupled to mass spectrometer. The results obtained containing the saturated as well as unsaturated fatty acids of P. bracteosa oils. A total of 18 different components were identified and quantified. Methyl ester of octadecadienoic acid was found in high concentration 6.88 %, among the identified analytes of interest. In addition methyl ester of Elaidic acid 4.37%, pentadecanoic acid 3.84% and stearic acid 1.91% were found. While the concentration of other analyte of fatty acid oil were found less than 1%. متن کاملComposition, Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Activities of Hexanic Extract from Prunus armeniaca L. Kernel from North-West Iran.
Chemical characteristics, fatty acid composition, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities ofPrunus armeniaca kernel oil were evaluated in this study. The hexane extracts of kernel of P.armeniaca, which were collected from northwestern Iran, were obtained by Soxhlet apparatus. The fatty acids were derived to methyl esters and determined by gas chromatography/flameionization detector (GC/FID) and...
متن کاملAntimicrobial Activity of the Essential Oil of Phlomis Bracteosa
The essential oil was isolated from the aerial parts of Phlomis bracteosa Royle ex Benth., a hairy erect herb. The leaves and flowers of this species are used as carminative, stimulant and locally known as ‘Ballikotu, Calba, Salba’ in Turkish traditional medicine. The antimicrobial activity of Phlomis bracteosa was studied using well diffusion method. The activity was tested against human patho...
متن کاملTriacylglycerol analysis of potential margarine base stocks by high-performance liquid chromatography with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry and flame ionization detection.
Several margarine base stock candidates have previously been prepared for the purpose of finding better, more oxidatively stable food components: high-saturate vegetable oils, randomized vegetable oils, vegetable oil-hard stock blends, and interesterified vegetable oil-hard stock blends. Here are reported the triacylglycerol compositions of these products, determined using reverse-phase high-pe...
متن کاملFatty Acid Composition Analysis of Aerial Parts of Selected Salvia Species Growing in Iran and Chemotaxonomic Approach by Shoot Fatty Acid Composition
In this study, fatty acid (FA) composition of aerial parts of selected Salvia species from Iran was analyzed by Gas chromatography. The amount of FAs was quantified for leaf and shoot of species as mg per kg (mg/kg) of dry weight. The results showed that FA contents of aerial parts for studied plants varied significantly and changed between 73.05 and 739.50 mg/kg of dried weight. Caprylic (C8:0...
